Eligibility Criteria For Canadian Scholarship Internship in Quebec

In Quebec, internship hosts can come from the public, quasi-public, municipal, or private sectors. Teaching post-secondary institutions and university-based research centres are often not eligible; this may be the student’s only applicable work experience outside of their major.

Application Process for Canadian Scholarship 2024

The process is touch-free, and any academic period can be chosen as applications will only stop being received by the system on 31st March 2025 or until all the endowments get awarded. Here’s what you have to do:

  • Create an account at https://frq.| gov. qc. ca/en/program/scholarship-for-internship-in-a-practice-environment-bsmp-2024-2025/.
  • Fill out the application form. It’s accessible through the FRQnet E-portfolio under “My forms.” You can fill it out in French or English, but the title should be in French only.
  • Firstly, you need some paperwork, a letter of support from your thesis supervisor and an internship host form.
  • Apply. Also, always ensure all documents are gathered into one PDF and uploaded under the “Other docs” tab; in this case, the application must be done through FRQnet E-portfolio.

Assessment and Results: Proposal submissions are evaluated against the projected objectives and challenges of the selected internship, the timeline of the proposal, the quality of the setting, and the expected academic supervisors. Six weeks after the application submission, results will be communicated to applicants through their E-portfolio under FRQnet.
